Galatasaray winger Sinan Gumus has attracted interest from Chelsea and Atletico Madrid after putting on an impressive display in the Champions League Match Day 1 clash against Porto.
The Milliyet newspaper report that the Blues sent scouts to keep tabs on Porto duo Alex Telles and Jesus Corona but ended up adding Sinan to their shortlist following his performance.
Per the source, Porto have expressed a keen interest in Gumus after making enquiries.
The Portuguese side were planning to make a move for the player in January but are expected to present an offer as soon as possible in case of Chelsea hijacking a move for Gumus.
Gumus has had to fill in as a makeshift striker after Galatasaray sold Bafetimbi Gomis and failed to replace him over the summer.
Eren Derdiyok had been the Lions first-choice striker but is currently out injured.
Gumus has had to step up as the Istanbul giants striker and has been widely praised.
The versatile winger has developed into a player capable of playing out wide and upfront.
The 24-year-old narrowly missed out on scoring for Galatasaray against Porto. The Portuguese giants ended up winning by a narrow 1-0 margin at the Dragao Stadium.
Gumus has one goal and two assists in the Super Lig this term for the league leaders.
The Germany born winger has under 12 months remaining on his current deal.
