Fenerbahce has received a massive boost in the race to sign Chelsea star centre-back Kurt Zouma.
The France international has been linked with a loan move away from Stamford Bridge this summer after failing to cement his place in Chelsea’s senior squad.
According to the daily Turkish newspaper Takvim, Zouma has told Chelsea that he does not want to join Newcastle United.
Per the source, the 23-year-old is keen on a move to Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce instead.
The report goes onto state that Fenerbahce have tabled a loan offer for Zouma in the region of €1.5 million for the season.
Fenerbahce director of football Damien Comolli has been leading negotiations and will hold further talks with Chelsea in the coming days.
