Osimhen had been the subject of interest from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea according to Daily Mail.

However, Napoli’s high asking price and Osimhen’s preference for a move to the Premier League prevented a transfer from happening in the summer window.

There were reports that to facilitate a move to the Premier League in January, Osimhen has included a break clause in his loan deal with Galatasaray.

This clause would have reportedly allow him to terminate the loan if he receives a bid from one of ten specified Premier League clubs.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich were rumoured to be among the teams listed in Osimhen’s break clause.

However, Galatasaray have denied there being such a clause and ruled it out, sources have told Turkish-Football.

Napoli has set a release clause of €75 million for Osimhen, and the club has the option to extend his contract until 2027. Galatasaray, on the other hand, does not have the option to buy Osimhen at the end of the loan.

The 25-year-old striker is expected to make a significant impact at Galatasaray. His goal-scoring ability and physical presence will be a valuable asset to the Turkish club.
