Kenneth Omeruo joined newly promoted Alanyaspor on a one-year loan deal from Chelsea over the summer.
The Nigerian international was already familiar with the Super Lig having made a name for himself at Kasimpasa last season and was closely linked with a move to Istanbul giants Besiktas before a last minute move to the Alanyaspor.
Omeruo established himself as one of the leagues most promising young defenders at Kasimpasa and got off to a dream start on his Alanyaspor debut helping his side keep a clean sheet against Genclerbirligi.
The 22-year-old put on his finest display of the season in the following game putting on a stellar performance in the 3-0 win over Super Lig giants Trabzonspor.
Alanyaspor fell to pieces defensive over the next two games conceding three in the 3-2 defeat against rivals Adanaspor and then shipping in five goals in the 5-0 loss to league leaders Basaksehir.
The Mediterranean based outfit have a few weeks to work on their defensive solidity over the international break. Alanyaspor are in a respectable 11th place in the league but they have conceded the joint highest number of goals in the league (13) – although eight of the goals were let in over the last two games.
