Galatasaray have also been closely linked with a loan bid for the Senegal international over the winter transfer window.

Niasse worked with current Galatasaray manager Hazma Hamzaoğlu while at Akhisar and first really made a name for himself in Turkey.

The Senegalese international struggled to find a regular first team spot at his new team and is said to be looking for a move away from the club.

The 24-year-old striker moved to Russia from Akhisar at the start of this season for €6.5 million.

The former Akhisar man has provided two assists and scored four goals in 11 games for Lokomotiv Moscow this season.

Galatasaray are currently in 3rd place in the Süper Lig on 45 points after 20 games.
