Chelsea transfer news: Blues agree £53m deal with La Liga giants for transfer of international striker, Besiktas also interested
Spain international Diego Costa looks set for a move away from Chelsea in January following a turbulent summer.
The controversial striker hasn’t featured for the Blues this season and doesn’t appear to be in manager Antonio Conte’s plans going forward.
According to the Mirror, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the sale of their star striker.
Per the source, Atleti have agreed to pay Chelsea £53 million for the 30-year-old. Costa is set to undergo a medical with the La Liga giants this afternoon.

The news will come as a blow to Turkish Super League giants Besiktas. The Black Eagles were in talks with Chelsea over the summer for Costa and were keeping tabs on the star striker.
Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid back in July 2014. The combative forward played a key role in the Blues title win last season, with 20 goals in 35 Premier League games.
