Chelsea transfer news: Blues revive interest in €25m Galatasaray star Fernando Muslera
Chelsea have revived their interest in Galatasaray’s star goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
The Daily Mail has reported that the Blues are keen to sign the 30-year-old this summer.
Per the source, Chelsea made an enquiry for the experinced keeper during the January transfer window, however Galatasaray were not prepared to sell him mid-way through the season.
Turkish-Football.com previously reported that Galatasaray value their star goalkeeper Muslera at €25 million.
Chelsea are looking for a replacement for the Asmir Begovic who is set to join Bournemouth in the summer. The London based club have also been linked with Celtic’s Craig Gordon, AC Milan’s Diego Lopez and Paris St Germain keeper Salvatore Sirigu.

Muslera has established himself as a cult figure at Galatasaray and has won every domestic trophy. The former Lazio keeper has also lifted the Copa America title with Uruguay.
Galatasaray are currently third in the Turkish Super League, eight points behind league leaders Besiktas. Muslera’s contract expires in under 18 months and Galatasaray are keen to lock him down on a long term deal.
