Chelsea Urged To Make Transfer Decision Over Defender Within 48 Hours After Receiving Offer From Super Lig Giants

Kurt Zouma

Chelsea have been urged by Fenerbahce to make a transfer decision over Kurt Zouma within the next 48 hours according to the Star newspaper.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries have made a loan offer for Zouma which includes a €2.1m loan fee.

Zouma has already reportedly agreed personal terms with Zouma and have urged him to request a transfer move from Chelsea.

Fenerbahce want to sign a new defender as soon as possible.

The Super Lig transfer window does run until the end of August but head coach Phillip Cocu wants his defence to be settled before the start of the season.

The Yellow Canaries face Benfica in the Champions League Third qualifying round on Tuesday before kicking off their league campaign against Bursaspor on Saturday 11 August.

Fenerbahce would be able to offer the defender a first-team role and potentially Champions League football if they navigate past the playoff stage.

The Daily Mail claims that Zouma’s Chelsea future has been thrown into doubt after being left without a squad number following losing his No 5 shirt to summer arrival Jorginho.

The report claims that the 23-year-old could he headed for an exit but he does have another five-years left on his contract after signing a long-term deal last summer.

The powerful defender spent last season on loan at Stoke City.
