Sumer was ambiguous about the latest reports but did say there is interest.

“I can’t say much about the reported offer,” Sumer said.

“I am not sure who is spreading this story.

“We have been contacted by a few clubs but there is nothing to say right now.”

Yazici is represented by Dr. Erkut Sogut, who also represents Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan and does have another four-years remaining on his current contract.

The attacking midfielder has been likened to Ozil by the Arsenal star himself.

Ozil waxed lyrical about Yazici in a recent interview with the Sabah newspaper: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents.

“Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10.

“We have a lot of similarities and I myself in him.

“His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball.

“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future

Yazici was in impressive form for Trabzonspor this season with five assists and 10 goals in 33 Turkish Super Lig appearances.

The Trabzonspor star started in all three of Turkey’s last three international friendly games against Iran, Tunisia and Russia.
