Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida has been closely linked with a move to Arsenal.

Turkish-Football can confirm that Besiktas president Fikret Orman has traveled to London with several club officials.

Orman is set to hold talks over the sale of Vida and Alvaro Negredo.

The club chief will also try to negotiate inbound transfers over the course of his trip.

The primary focus however, will be selling Vida before the end of the Premier League transfer window which ends tomorrow.

The Sun reported yesterday that Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants the World Cup finalist but that he must sell Shkodran Mustafi or Danny Welbeck to raise the funds needed to sign the defender.

The fee being quoted is £25m but we understand that Besiktas are prepared to accept £15m for the Croatia international but would prefer a fee in the region of £18m.

Additionally, the Super Lig giants would prefer a direct sale as opposed to a part-exchange.

Neither Mustafi nor Welbeck are on the shortlist however, David Ospina remains a target.

And Besiktas do also need another striker this summer, which makes Welbeck a potential target but as things stand the club have neither made Arsenal an offer nor held talks with his representatives.
