Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has a 50 percent chance of joining Galatasaray according to agent Ahmet Bulut.
The Turkish agent is currently working on the transfer deal as an intermediary.
Bulut has close ties to Portuguese superagent Jorge Mendes who represents Falcao.
“This is not going to be an easy transfer but the first step has been taken,” Bulut revealed to the Hurriyet newspaper.
“There is a 50 percent chance this move happens right now and rumours that he will come on a free transfer are false.”
The Lions are keen on signing a new striker this summer ahead of the Champions League campaign next season.
Galatasaray currently have just one out and out first-team striker in Mbaye Diagne.
The Yellow-Reds struggled in the striker department for the first half of last season until the transfer of Diagne.
