Conflicting Reports Over Chelsea Rivalling Arsenal For €50m Turkey International Star Cengiz Under

Roma starlet Cengiz Under has attracted widespread interest from major European sides over the transfer window.

The latest reports claim that Chelsea have entered the race for the Turkey international.

Football.London report that the Blues head coach Maurizio Sarri is interested in several wingers despite having Pedro and Willian on the books.

The Blues have also been linked with the 21-year-old in the past but Eren Sarigul from Turkish-Football reported that there are currently only three clubs with a serious interest in Under in his latest piece for ESPN.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are the three sides that have made contact with Under’s representatives.

The report does point out that while the three clubs named are leading the race, there have been other teams scouting Under such as Manchester City.

The report does not necessarily rule Chelsea out of the race but makes it clear that currently, the Gunners are the more keen out of the two sides.

Under has made it clear that he would like a move to England.

A summer exit from Roma is looking likely. The Giallorossi are keen to cash in after setting a €50m valuation.

Under meanwhile has not been offered a pay rise despite his representatives pushing for one.

The Turkey international is under contract until 2022 but is one of the lowest paid members of the squad earning approximately €1m per-season.

Under has five goals and four assists in 20 appearances this season.
