‘I am convinced they love the club’ – Wenger claims Sanchez and Ozil want to stay
Arsenal beat Tottenham 2-0 in the North London derby on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
Mesut Ozil put on a Man of the Match display providing an assist for the opening goal and Alexis Sanchez netted his sides second.
The star duo could however, be on their way out as both players have under 12 months remaining on their contract but have yet to sign a new deal.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims that Ozil and Sanchez do not actually want to leave. In fact he says they love the club.

“I am convinced they love the club and love the team, but all the rest will be decided – when? I don’t really know,” Wenger said after the game.
“I believe they love the club and want to stay, but there are other top clubs out there who offer good contracts as well.”
Ozil has now produced 45 assists since making his Arsenal debut in September 2013, more than any other Premier League player.
“They’ve shown their commitment again [against Tottenham],” he added. “I’ve never questioned their commitment.
“They can have bad games but the problem is that, when a player gets near the end of his contract and has a bad game, everybody says it’s because he’s going. Their interest is to play.”
Ozil has a total of one goal and three assists in 10 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season.
The playmaker of Turkish origin has yet to strike a new contract deal but has not completely ruled out staying in London.
Arsenal are currently 6th in the Premier League just one point behind 4th placed Tottenham.
