‘Could Have Scored More’ – Mesut Ozil Reacts To Arsenal Victory Over Valencia

Arsenal beat Valencia 3-1 in the Europa League semi-final first leg tie at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

Mesut Ozil started for the Gunners and put on an impressive display until he was replaced by Henrikh Mkhitaryan on 74 minutes.

Valencia actually took the lead but the North London based outfit managed to fight back and score three times with goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Following the game Ozil revealed that Arsenal could actually have scored more goals and thanked the fans that turned out.

I was sat in the Clock End and there was a great atmosphere at the Emirates leading up to the game. The sun came out just before kick-off after a heavy downpour.

Ozil received a standing ovation after he was taken off late in the second half.

The Gunners take on Valencia in Spain for the second-leg next Thursday.

Arsenal will guarantee a place in the Europa League final in Baku, Azerbaijan if they avoid defeat.
