Crystal Palace are ‘asking serious questions’ about a possible move for Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak according to The Sun reporter Alan Nixon.

Per the source, Palace are interested in the Turkey international defender who could be available on the cheap if recent reports are to be believes.

Leicester City have also been closely linked with Kabak and on Tuesday reported claimed that an £8m fee had been agreed but it turns out that is not the case.

The Foxes do however, remain interested and in the race for Kabak who would team up with Turkey international teammate Caglar Soyuncu if he were to make the move.

If Palace do land Kabak it would be a permanent deal as Schalke only want to sell the defender according to Nixon.

Schalke were relegated from the Bundesliga last season and are keen on selling on Kabak this summer for a cut-price fee.

Kabak already has half a season of Premier League football under his belt playing for Liverpool after joining in January last term.

The 21-year-old played regular first-team football for the Reds during his time at the club.
