Crystal Palace were €5m away from signing star striker with 4 Champions League goals this summer
Besiktas star Cenk Tosun has been on fire this season, scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances.
Tosun has attracted interest from the Premier League but Crystal Palace came close to signing him before he scored four goals in Champions League for the Group G leaders.
The Fanatik newspaper claim that Palace were just €5 million away from signing the Turkish international.
Per the source, Palace offered €13 million but Besiktas wanted €18 million.

The Black Eagles were prepared to sell Tosun had Palace matched their valuation.
In fact the striker himself wanted to leave but Besiktas were worried they’d be unable to replace him in such short time unless their asking price was matched.
Tosun has scored as many goals in the Champions League alone as Palace have all season in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old has been directly involved in five goals in the competition.
Besiktas could qualify for the next round in first place even if they lose their next two group games.
The star striker played a key role in Besiktas winning the league title for the past two seasons.
The Istanbul giants are currently five points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
