Fenerbahçe defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has emerged as a transfer target for several clubs following his impressive performances this season.

This resurgence has attracted interest from Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers as well as Ligue 1 outfit Rennes according to Aksam.

After facing limited opportunities under former manager Jorge Jesus, Osayi-Samuel has thrived under İsmail Kartal, reaching a career-high in goals.

Osayi-Samuel has played 26 matches this season, contributing 3 goals and 4 assists.

He has played an important role in Fenerbahce’s title race this season, the Istanbul giants are just two points behind leaders Galatasaray and also competing in the European Conference League.

Fenerbahçe reportedly rejected a €10 million offer for the Nigerian international, significantly higher than the €500,000 they paid for him in 2020.

The 26-year-old will have 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season which could result in Fenerbahce wanting to cash in – unless he is offered a contract extension.

Osayi-Samuel is no stranger to football in England having previously played for QPR and Blackpool.

The defender has eight international caps and was part of the Nigeria side that reached the AFCON final.
