Crystal Palace Loanee Alexander Sorloth Scores On Trabzonspor Debut In Europa League Clash

Alexander Sorloth failed to score a single Premier League goal for Crystal Palace last season but he managed to score on his debut for Trabzonspor who he recently joined on a two-year loan.

Sorloth scored the equaliser in spectacular fashion to force a 2-2 draw against Sparta Praha in the Europa League 3rd round qualifier on Thursday.

The Norway international scored a last-gasp equaliser to put his side in a strong position heading into the home leg.

The Black Sea based side travel back to Turkey with two valuable away goals.

Costa Nhamoinesu got Sparta Praha off to a great start with the opening goal on 16 minutes.

The home side looked in cruise control when they double their lead on 68 minutes thanks to a goal from Guelor Kanga.

Ekuban gave Trabzonspor a glimmer of hope after pulling one goal back on 83 minutes and then Sorloth scored on 89 minutes to wrap up an impressive comeback.

The second-leg of the clash will be played in Turkey next Thursday.
