Crystal Palace are set to edge ahead in the race to sign Fenerbahce’s out-of-favour midfielder Ozan Tufan.
The Turkey international’s future with the Istanbul giants has been cast in doubt after losing his place in the first-team squad last season.
Fenerbahce are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play and are open to selling the Turkey international for the right price.
The daily Turkish newspaper Sabah have reported that Crystal Palace officials will travel to Istanbul this week to hold transfer talks with Fenerbahce.
Per the source, the Eagles – who came close to signing Tufan in January – want to sign the 23-year-old on a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, the Turkish outlet Fanatik claim that Palace have set aside £2.5 million for Tufan this summer.
The Turkey international made the move to Fenerbahce for £6 million back in 2015. Tufan registered two assists and netted three goals in 14 games for the Istanbul giants last term.
Tufan has racked up 39 international caps for the Turkey national team.
