Crystal Palace to launch new bid for Turkey international after transfer fell through on deadline day

Crystal Palace have not given up hopes of signing Turkey international midfielder Ozan Tufan.

According to the daily Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Palace officials have told Tufan that they will get back in contact with him during the summer transfer window.

Tufan came close to a move to Palace on deadline day, however, the move fell through at the last minute. Unfortunately for Tufan, he has been cast out of Fenerbahce’s first team squad which may mean he has to play U21 football until the end of the season.

Milliyet goes on to state that Palace even sent an email to Tufan which reads, “We have not given hopes if signing you.

“The transfer fell through at the last moment because we needed to sign an attacker due to an injury.

“We still believe in you and will be back in contact in the summer.”

Tufan has not played a single minute of football for Fenerbahce in their last eight Super Lig games.

While the validity of the email cannot be confirmed, Tufan is likely to leave the Istanbul giants at the end of the season.
