Crystal Palace to scout €22m international star Cenk Tosun against Monaco tonight, Newcastle also interested
Premier League side Crystal Palace havn’t given up hopes of singing Besiktas’ in-form striker Cenk Tosun.
The Eagles came close to landing the Turkey international on transfer deadline day but didn’t have enough time to finalize the deal.
Palace were left wondering what might have been when Tosun went onto score goals for fun at Besiktas this season. The 26-year-old has also been in form in the UEFA Champions League and scored a stunning strike against Porto last month.
A source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football that Crystal Palace scouts are present in Monaco and will monitor Cenk’s performance tonight.
Meanwhile, Turkish outlet Fotomac claims that Palace are preparing an improved €22 million offer for the Turkey international.
Palace are set to face competition from both Newcastle United and Tottenham who Turkish-Football can reveal are also interested in Tosun.
Cenk has scored a total of nine goals in all competitions for club and country this season.
