CSKA Moscow v Arsenal – Probable lineups – Wenger sufferers major injury blow as star midfielder ruled out

Arsenal are on course to book their place in the semi-final of the Europa League when they face CSKA Moscow on Thursday night.

Arsene Wenger has failed to register a victory in his last three visits to Russia but does come into the clash with a major advantage. The Gunners registered a 4-1 win over CSKA in the first leg last week at the Emirates stadium.

CSKA come into this week’s clash off the back of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Dynamo Moscow. Meanwhile, Arsenal registered a 3-2 win over relegation battlers Southampton.

The Gunners know their only route to playing UEFA Champions League football is to win the Europa League this season.

Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been ruled out after suffering medial knee ligament damage while David Ospina is also sidelined. Mesut Ozil is set to start during the week after being rested by Wenger during the week.
