Daniel Sturridge penned a two-year deal with the option to extend by an additional season with Trabzonspor on Sunday.
Sturridge joined Trabzonspor as a free agent after his contract with Liverpool ran to an end over the summer.
Trabzonspor disclosed the financial details of the deal shortly after Sturridge was unveiled to the media in a signing ceremony.
Sturridge will earn £27,000 a-week [€1.5m per-season] with a £1.8m [€2m] signing-on fee which will be paid for each season he stays at the club over the course of his contract.
Additionally, eight-percent of the fees will be paid to Sturridge’s agent.
The England international revealed that social media played a factor in his decision to take the move.
“Trabzonspor fans really made me aware of how big this club is and how much they wanted me over social media. I have to say it played a big role in convincing me to join,” Sturridge said.
“I want to thank the fans and everyone who reached out.
“I hope I can repay the love they have shown me and give something back to this great club and city.”

The 29-year-old has already started training with his new side. Sturridge will not feature against AEK Athens in the Europa League playoff second-leg clash as he is was not registered in time.
Sturridge could however, make his debut against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Sunday in the Super Lig.
