Daniel Sturridge Suffers Injury Blow, Ruled Out For Trabzonspor Against Sivasspor

Trabzonspor striker Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out of the Super Lig clash against Sivasspor with a right ankle problem.

The Black Sea based outfit informed Turkish-Football that the injury is not serious and that Sturridge has been removed from the traveling squad as a precautionary measure.

The 30-year-old striker who joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool.

Sturridge has made two appearances for his new side this season playing just 64 minutes of first-team football.

Trabzonspor are currently in the midst of an injury crisis with Abdulkadir Omur, Yusuf Sari, Ekuban, Ogneyi Onazi and Corekci all sidelined.

The visitors have yet to lose this season but three draws have seen them pick up just six points. A victory could elevate them to 4th place.

Sivasspor meanwhile haven’t lost at home this term.

Trabzonspor are missing key names but have not lost to Sivasspor in 11 of their last 12 games and have gone 16 matches unbeaten in the Super Lig.
