The former Fenerbahce manager Christoph Daum is set to be appointed as Balıkesirspor’s new manager.
Balıkesirspor are on the hunt for a new manager after İsmail Ertekin announced his resignation following his sides 3-1 defeat to Sivasspor at home.
Yılmaz Vural, Ümit Kayıhan and Fuat Çapa were all considered for the job but the clubs management team decided to make an official offer to Christoph Daum.
The German manger has been offered a contract until the end of the season worth up to €800,000.
Daum has won the league with Besiktas and twice with Fenerbahce. The experienced coach also managed Bursaspor.
The 61-year-old has been out of a job since his spell at the Green Crocodiles in 2013.
