Demba Ba – ‘We have everything to play for against Liverpool next week’ [divider]
Liverpool defeated Beşiktaş 1-0 at Anfield in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg but Demba Ba believes his side still have everything to play for next week.
Ba started against Liverpool and almost put the Black Eagles ahead in the first-half but had his one-on-one chance against Reds keeper Simon Mignolet saved.
“We played well, it is so disappointing to lose because of a penalty but we still have everything to play for,” Ba told the official Beşiktaş website.

Ba also revealed that he thought Mario Balotelli should have been penalised for a high foot challenge moments before the penalty incident.
“I thought it looked like a foul before the penalty, Balotelli used a high foot but there is nothing that can be done now, we still have a good chance to go through,” he added.
The Senegalese international has been in prolific form for the Turkish giants this season.
The former Chelsea striker has 22 goals in 29 appearances for Beşiktaş in all competitions.
Ba is the leading scorer in Süper Lig – 13 goals – and also broke the Eagles record for most goals scored by a play in European competition in a single season.
Beşiktaş take on Eskişehirspor next in the league and then host Liverpool at the Atatürk Olympic stadium for the second leg of the Europa League Roıund of 32.
