Didier Drogba & Messi become Turkish Airlines brand ambassadors [divider]
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and Barcelona star Messi have become Turkish Airlines brand ambassadors.
Drogba and Messi recently featured in an advert for Turkish Airlines called #EpicFood.
“I feel privileged to be the ambassador of such an important and award-winning brand,” Drogba said.
“I have a unique link with Turkish Airlines from my time living in Istanbul when I was playing for Galatasaray.”
Drogba spent 1.5 seasons at Galatasaray where he won the Süper Lig titles, the Turkish Cup and reached the Champions League quarter-finals and Last 16.
Temel Kotil, the chief executive of Turkish Airlines, said: “We pride ourselves on our strategic partnerships and couldn’t be more delighted that Didier is now part of the Turkish Airlines family.
“Both the UK and African markets are an important focus for us. Not only is Didier an iconic UK football star, but also his philanthropic efforts through the Didier Drogba Foundation mean a lot to us.
