Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida encouraged his Croatia national teammate Dejan Lovren to ‘Come to Besiktas’ on his Instagram channel.
Lovren commented on a photo shared by Vida which shows his luxurious pad in Istanbul fully equipped with an outdoor swimming pool which really helps in the sweltering summers the city experiences.
Vida responded by telling Lovren to ‘Come to Besiktas brother’.
The comment sparked a media storm in Turkey with just about every sports newspaper, website and agency sharing the story and pushing the idea that Lovren could be headed to Besiktas.
To be fair Vida was probably just having a bit of banter with Lovren who is his friend but that did not stop Besiktas fans getting carried away.

Lovren received hundreds of messages on his latest Instagram post from Besiktas fans urging him to make the move to Istanbul.
The 29-year-old defender has been linked with a summer exit but does have another two-years remaining on his contract.
Turkish-Football asked Besiktas to comment on whether Lovren is a transfer target but were informed he is not on the shortlist this summer.
