Drogba Calls ‘Lil Bro’ Liverpool Star ‘Number One African’

Former Galatasaray and Chelsea star Didier Drogba praised Mohamed Salah for becoming the highest scoring African player in the Premier League.

Drogba held the previous record for an African player in the league with 29 goals in a single campaign.

Salah scored his 30th goal player in the Premier League against Bournemouth.

Drogba posted picture of duo and wrote lengthy caption on his official Instagram account.

He said: “So proud of you lil bro, continue to put our continent high as you can!!!”

Drogba previously played for Galatasaray winning the 2013-14 league title.

The former Chelsea man also won the Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup, establishing himself as a cult figure among Galatasaray fans.

At Chelsea Drogba won four Premier League titles and the first Champions League in the history of the club.
