The Nigerian international did however, apologise to his former team for his excessive goal jubilations.
”I celebrated at the same time and I want to talk about the goal I scored against my former team,” Emenike told Turkish-football.com reporters after the game.
”On their behalf, on behalf of the fans, I’m sorry. I did not score for a long time so I celebrated it.”
The 27-year-old striker first made a name for himself at Karabükspor.
Emenike spent two seasons with the Steelers and scored 30 goals in 50 matches before moving to Russia to join Spartak Moscow.
The Nigerian international now has three goals for the Yellow Canaries this season.
The win over Karabükspor took Fenerbahçe into first place on 42 points.
