Emmanuel Emenike demands a striker role at Fenerbahçe [divider]
Fenerbahçe forward Emmanuel Emenike expressed his concerns with being played on the wing by manager İsmail Kartal.
Emenike revealed that he would score more goals if he were to be played as a striker instead of a winger.
“Every striker has their own downside, but the best way to improve is to help that player play in a better position to deliver, I really want to score goals, but playing on the wings cannot help as much as I think,” Emenike told AfricanFootball.com
“I love to score more than a goal in a match, but only when I play in a more functional position.
“I want to believe that everybody knows what I can do when I stay in front (of goal). I have not lost that hunger and capability, the power is very much intact and the goals will come at the best time, but not from playing in an irregular position.”
The Nigerian international joined Fenerbahçe last summer from Spartak Moscow for €13 million, and scored 12 goals as well as providing 9 assists last season.
Emenike has two goals and three assists in 12 Süper Lig appearances this season.
