Emre Can hails James Milner’s ‘incredible’ penalty-taking ability

Liverpool star Emre Can has heaped praise on his teammate James Milner. The Reds held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad on Sunday.

Milner scored Liverpool’s only goal from the penalty spot to put his side ahead. However, Argentina international Sergio Aguero levelled the tie shortly after.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain in fourth place in the Premier League following their draw with City.

Milner has emerged as one of the leagues strongest penalty takers this season. The experinced midfielder has scored penalties against Man City, Man United, Tottenham, Hull, Swansea City and Sunderland.

Can has admitted that Milner could be the best penalty taker he has seen during his career.

“I [have] never seen a player like Millie who scores penalties,” Can told Liverpool’s official website after the game.

“He’s incredible in training sessions, every ball is hard in the corner, he shoots penalties very well.

“In the game, he played very well, and it wasn’t an easy game for him against Raheem [Sterling].

“He’s quick and it’s very difficult to play against him. I’m very happy that he scored again.”

Emre Can put in yet another impressive display in midfield. The 22-year-old also played a crucial role in the lead up to Liverpool’s penalty.

The Merseyside club take on their biter rivals Everton in their next Premier League fixture on April 1.
