Emre Can hopes to learn from Liverpool vice-captain Jordan Henderson

Emre Can has admitted he has a lot to learn from Liverpool vice-captain captain Jordan Henderson.

“Jordan Henderson had a great season in the last campaign and I liked what saw last term. I think he’s a player who gives everything for the club,” Can said speaking to the Liverpool Echo.

“He’s a battler and you can see that in training too. He’s definitely a great player and he plays good football. He wasn’t made vice-captain for no reason. I think I can learn a lot from him.

“He’s a whole-hearted player. He’s full of running and he gives 100 per cent for the club in every game and in every training session.

“I think I can learn from every player in my position. I’ll give my all in training and I’ll see what I can learn.”

Can picked up an injury while on international duty with the U21 German national team which ruled him out for six-weeks.

The 20-year-old has since recovered and is expected to ready for the Premier League game against QPR.

Can joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for £9.75m this summer but has only made substitute appearances for Liverpool in the league.
