Emre Can Reveals Liverpool Champions League Target Ahead Of Man City Clash

Liverpool will face Manchester City for the first time in the Champions League in April.

The Reds drew City in the quarter-finals following the draw at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Citizens are first in the Premier League and did beat Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad but the Reds did win the return fixture 4-3.

Additionally, Liverpool have scored more Champions League goals than any other team.

Emre Can has revealed his goals for the competition.

The midfielder of Turkish origin stated that the Reds have started to ‘dream a little bit’ about winning the Champions League.

“We don’t go anywhere and say, ‘OK, now we will see what happens’. Of course we want to win the games,” Can said.

“We are in the quarter-finals and of course we have to play from game to game, but we dream a little bit of winning the Champions League.”

The tie will see two Premier League stars of Turkish origin go head to head with Emre Can representing Liverpool and Ilkay Gundogan repping it for Manchester City.

There are three Turks left in the competition, the other being Roma winger Cengiz Under who ended up drawing Barcelona.
