Liverpool midfielder Emre Can was brought on in the second half in the Reds 1-0 win over Burnley.
Can started the game on the bench – for the sixth consecutive Premier League game – but was brought on at half time with the score level at 0-0.
The 20-year-old replaced Kolo Toure on the right side of Liverpool’s three-man defence.
Can put on a solid defensive performance making three tackles, one interception and four clearances.
The young midfielder made 32 passes at a disappointing 75 percent accuracy.
Can made his first Premier League appearance since Liverpool’s 3-1 loss against Crystal Palace on November 23 2014.
The victory saw Liverpool move up into ninth place on 25 points.
The powerful defender has now made a total of 10 appearances in all competitions this season.
Can has received limited playing time this season despite joining on a £10.5 million move from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
