Enes Unal Provides First Assist in Bournemouth Comeback

Enes Unal provided his first assist of the season for Bournemouth after joining the club in January in the win against Luton Town on Wednesday.

In a stunning display of resilience, AFC Bournemouth secured a dramatic 4-3 victory against Luton Town at the Vitality Stadium. Trailing by a staggering 3-0 at halftime, the Cherries roared back with four unanswered goals to snatch all three points.

The first half belonged to Luton, who capitalized on Bournemouth’s defensive frailties. Tahith Chong, Chiedozie Ogbene, and Ross Barkley all found the net, putting the Hatters in a seemingly comfortable position.

However, the second half unfolded like a different game altogether. Bournemouth emerged with renewed purpose, orchestrated by a double substitution with Unal and Marcus Tavernier being brought on for Alex Scott and Luis Sinisterra.

Dominic Solanke ignited the comeback with a sublime individual effort in the 50th minute. This goal sparked a 14-minute blitz as Antoine Semenyo, Illia Zabarnyi scored to pull level and then Unal setup Semenyo with the winning goal completing an incredible turnaround.

This victory represents a significant moment in Premier League history. It marks only the third time a team trailing by 3 goals at halftime has managed to win the game and the fifth occasion a team has overcome a 3-goal deficit to emerge victorious.

Unal now has one goal and one assist in his last two games for the Cherries.

He has yet to start for Bournemouth but has had his playing time increase in the last two games.

Bournemouth will face Everton next on 30 March, Unal will be hoping to make his first start.
