Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has stated that he wants Arda Turan to finish his playing career at the Madrid based club.
The 66-year-old President spoke to the Turkish newspaper Bugun about Turan’s future.
“We would like him to stay at Atletico Madrid for the rest of his career,” Cerezo said.
“If he shares this intention I have no doubt we can make it happen.
“In my opinion Arda is happy in Spain and loves playing for Atletico Madrid.”
Turan became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title when Atletico Madrid lifted the title last season.
The Turkish international was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined Atletico Madrid in August 2011 from Galatasaray for €14.5 million.
Turan has two goals and three assists in 14 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season.
