Besiktas loaned out Gokhan Tore to West Ham last summer and sold Olcay Sahan in January.

Their replacement Aras Ozbiliz barely got any playing time leaving the Black Eagles overly reliant on Ricardo Quaresma and Ryan Babel.

Campbell has years of experience at top-tier and Champions League level under his belt.

The Black Eagles have booked a place in the Champions League group stage next season after winning the league title for a second consecutive season.

Besiktas could face competition from newly promoted Brighton who are also interested in the Costa Rica international according to the Sun.

Campbell joined Arsenal from the Costa Rican side Saprissa back in 2011 but has played just 23 games for the Gunners.

The 24-year-old has played on loan for Olympiakos, Villarreal, Lorient and Real Betis.
