Euro Giants Chief ‘Optimistic’ Liverpool Star Will Leave Anfield After Champions League Final

Emre Can

Juventus CEO Beppe Moratta has revealed he is ‘optimistic’ that Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will complete his move to Turin after the Champions League final.

The Reds take on Real Madrid in the final on 25 May, in Kiev, Ukraine.

“We are optimistic about the positive end of negotiations with Emre Can,” he told Mediaset Premium. “We hope to announce his signing after the Champions League final.”

The latest developments follow Goal claiming Can will sign a five-year deal worth £4 million per-season.

Calciomercato claim that Can already had a medical with Juve in Turin when he came to visit the training facilities.

The Serie A champions reportedly have no more doubts about his fitness.

The midfielder of Turkish origin will be a free agent unless he signs a contract extension before the final.

Can has been sidelined with injury since suffering a back problem during the 5-0 victory over Watford in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old was included in the Reds squad that travelled to Marbella, Spain for the pre-Champions League final training camp.

The midfielder faces a race against time to return to full-match fitness before the Real Madrid clash.

Can was a first-team regular for Liverpool despite his contract situation before injury.

In fact he scored a career-high six goals in 37 appearances for the Merseyside based outfit this season.
