Euro giants edge ahead of Arsenal in race to sign Barcelona star Arda Turan
Galatasaray have stepped up their interest in Barcelona star midfielder Arda Turan.
The Turkey international came through the ranks at Galatasaray and captained his boyhood side before earning himself a move to Atletico Madrid in 2011.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray directors are set to hold talks with Barcelona in Spain this week.
Per the source, Director of Football Cenk Ergun will attempted to negotiate a loan deal with Barca for Turan.
Fanatik goes onto state that Turan is unhappy at Barcelona and is open to a move back to the Turkish Super League.

Arsenal were closely linked with a move for the Turkey international in recent weeks. However, the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona’s €30 million asking price has put Arsenal off.
Meanwhile, Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut recently told Turkish-Football.com that his client does not want to move back to Turkey.
The 30-year-old was included in Barcelona’s pre-season squad. Turan scored 13 times and provided seven assists in all competitions last season.
