Euro giants in talks with Chelsea over 20-goal striker Diego Costa

Chelsea striker Diego Costa could still be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer.

Spanish outlet OKDiario claim that Turkish Super League champions Besiktas have held talks with Chelsea over the Spain international striker.

The 28-year-old was desperate for a move to Atletico Madrid this summer however, the La Liga giants were hit with a transfer ban.

Costa had a major falling out with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte over the summer and has been omitted from the Blues UEFA Champions League squad.

Per the source, Besiktas want to loan Costa until January. The Black Eagles may be Costa’s only option if he wants to leave Chelsea this summer. The Turkish Super Lig’s transfer window slams shut of September 8.

Costa played a major role during Chelsea’s title win last season. The former Altetico Madrid star scored 20 Premier League goals in 35 appearances.

Chelsea take on Leicester City in the league on September 9.
