Euro Giants Convinced Liverpool Star Will Join On 4-Year €5m Per-Season Deal After ‘Handshake’

Not long ago Emre Can joining Juventus was perceived as a certainty, as far as the Italian media were concerned.

That was until Can revealed that no deal with Juve was in place and he could in fact end up staying at Anfield.

He told Sky Sports News: “I still have a contract here until the end of the season.

“I give everything for the club, I will try to give everything for the club.

“The rest is down to my agent, and I’m just responsible for performances on the pitch.”

Despite the latest developments suggesting the midfielder of Turkish origin could remain at Liverpool beyond the end of the season, Calciomercato claim he will still join the Italian giants.

Per the source, Juve are ‘convinced’ the transfer will go ahead based on a verbal agreement with the player and his representatives.

The report claims the reigning Serie A champions have the handshake of Can and that he has been sent a four-year contract worth €5 million per-season.

The 24-year-old’s lawyers are understood to be running over the details.

As with previous claims regarding Can joining Juventus there has been no official announcement.

Juve chief Beppe Moratta has confirmed talks with Can but underlined that nothing has been agreed yet.

“For Emre Can, our interest is clear,” Moratta stated.

“We want to try to bring him to us, but it is not certain we will succeed because at the moment he has a contract offer from Liverpool and could renew.

“Also, there are other teams interested in him.”
