Juventus have entered the race for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil according to reports in Italy.

Il Bianconero claim that the Italian giants have their eye on Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Hector Bellerin.

Per the source, Juve are keen on Ozil as a free transfer at the end of the season.

The playmaker of Turkish origin will be a free agent this summer if he does not sign a contract extension.

The report does however, claim that Ozil’s wage demands could be difficult for Juve to match.

The reigning Serie A champions also face competition from Manchester United for Ozil’s signature.

United recently signed Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez but that has not put them off trying to sign Ozil according to the Independent.

It would not be the first time Ozil has worked with United boss Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese head coach was the 29-year-old’s manager at Real Madrid, where they won the La Liga title together.

Ozil has picked up Arsenal player of the month awards for November and December.
