Euro giants have not lost hope signing Liverpool star despite Klopp refusing to sell

Juventus have not lost hope of signing Emre Can despite Jurgen Klopp making it clear the Liverpool star is not for sale.

Tuttosport claim that the Italian giants are still hopeful they can complete the deal.

Per the source, Juve are well aware Can has under 12 months on his contract and has yet to sign an extension.

Juventus have been closely linked with Can throughout the summer but have failed to convince Liverpool into considering a transfer.

The report states that while Klopp has refused to hold transfer talks the Reds may end up being forced into reconsidering.

The 23-year-old has yet to confirm whether he will extend his contract deal.

Despite the latest developments Can did recently revealed that he is committed to Liverpool next season.

“It’s a big season [for me] and I think it’s a big season for the team as well,” he told the club’s website.

“Last season we did quite well but we could do better, so we will try to do it better this year and push on.

“Myself, I want to push on as well and I want to have good confidence and play a good season.”

Can is expected to be included in the Liverpool squad ahead of their Premier League opener against Watford on Saturday 12 August.

The midfielder of Turkish origin was part of the Germany side that won the Confederations Cup this summer.
