Liverpool star Emre Can made it pretty clear yesterday he has not reached an agreement with Juventus and that his agent has actually blocked all negotiations until the end of the season.
“Of course I have to think about my footballing future,” Can was reported as saying for the Liverpool Echo.
“I haven’t signed for any other club, I’m just focused on this season. We want to finish in second place in the Premier League, we’re in the Champions League quarter-finals and we want to progress. That’s all I’m focused on now.
“My agent has blocked all the negotiations, I’m thinking only of football.”
That has not stopped the Italian media to keep pushing the Juventus story.
This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Juve have offered the midfielder of Turkish origin a deal worth €5 million per-season, plus bonuses.
The problem does not appear to be the offer, instead, Real Madrid are threatening to derail Juve’s efforts.
The report claims that Can’s representatives have asked for time to consider the offer from Real.

The Italian giants are considering their options as a result and have shifted focus towards Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Can will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a contract extension with Liverpool.
The 24-year-old has however, not ruled out the possibility of staying on at Liverpool.
The midfielder currently holds all the cards and is assessing his options.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has kept Can on as a first-choice midfielder despite concerns over his future.
The Germany international has started Liverpool’s last 11 games in the league and has scored a career-high six goals.
