Euro giants prepare for life without outbound €30m Everton target

Everton appears to have taken another step towards landing their summer target Domagoj Vida this summer.

According to the Turkish outlet Milliyet, Besiktas are already preparing for life without the Croatia international.

Per the source, the Black Eagles have set their signs on the former Spartak Moscow centre-back Serdar Tasci. The Germany international is available for free after his contract with the Russia side expired earlier this week.

Everton have been closely linked with a move for Vida this summer. Turkish-Football recently reported that the Toffees tabled an offer worth £30 million for the 29-year-old.

Meanwhile, A Spor journalist Turgay Demir has stated that Liverpool have made an offer in the region of £13 million for the powerful defender.

“Everton and Liverpool have made an offer for Vida, €15m has been proposed but Besiktas will not consider a bid below €20m,” Demir stated live on A Spor (TV Channel).

Vida has been in impressive form for the Croatia national team in the 2018 World Cup. Croatia defeated Denmark to book their place in the quarter-finals where they will face the hosts Russia.

The 29-year-old only joined Besiktas on a free transfer back in January.
