Fulham have suffered a major set back in the race to sign Besiktas star goalkeeper Fabri.
The London based club are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper after selling David Button to Brighton and Hove Albion last week.
Fulham were subsequently linked with a move for the Spanish goalkeeper Fabri.
However, a source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Besiktas have rejected an increased £5 million offer from Fulham for Fabri.
The Black Eagles are holding out for a bid in the region of £7.5 million for their star asset. Per the source, while Besiktas would like to keep Fabri, they do not want to risk losing the 30-year-old for free next summer.
Fabri joined Besiktas from Deportivo La Coruna on a free transfer back in 2016. The former Real Betis star made a total of 43 appearances for Besiktas last season.
Fulham take on Crystal Palace in their first game of the 2018/19 Premier League season.
