Euro Giants to table bid for £24m Chelsea star if Blues sign Croatia’s Sime Vrsaljko this summer

Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas have set their sights on Chelsea right wing-back Davide Zappacosta.

The Black Eagles are expected to make major changes to their squad after failing to defend their league title and finishing up in fourth place.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Besiktas are plotting a move for the Italy international.

Per the source, Zappacosta’s future at Chelsea is cast in doubt as the London based club are chasing Croatia international Sime Vrsaljko. Fotomac goes onto state that Besiktas will table a loan-bid for the 26-year-old.

Zappacosta joined Chelsea from Torino for £24.5 million last summer and went onto make 35 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea during the 2017-18 season.

Meanwhile, the SkySports Italia have linked Serie A giants Inter Milan with a move for the Italy international.

However, Zappacosta has insisted that he is “only thinking of Chelsea”.

“I just want to have a great season, regardless of where I play,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Inter? The interest is pleasing but I don’t know anything about it and I’m only thinking of Chelsea.”

Zappacosta has three-years remaining on his contract with Chelsea.
