Everton’s newly appointed manager Ronald Koeman has set his sights on Besiktas’ young midfielder Kerim Frei.
According to Sporx Everton have made an enquiry for Besiktas Frei and are preparing a move for the Turkish international.
Frei has previous expernce playing in the Premier League as he rose through the ranks of the Fulham academy before his move to Turkey two years ago.
Sporx go onto say that Besiktas want at least €7 million for the Turkish international. The Black Eagles are keen on keeping hold of Frei who is expected to enjoy an important role in the team with Gokhan Tore on loan at West Ham.
Meanwhile the Mirror has claimed that West Brom were also previously plotting a move for the winger.
Frei provided five assists and scored five goals in 37 appearances for Besiktas in all competitions. The 22-year-old was however left out of Fatih Terim’s Euro 2016 squad.
