Everton boss Sam Allardyce considering cutting losses on £26m star striker this summer, according to reports in Turkey

Everton are considering allowing their January signing Cenk Tosun to return to Besiktas on loan in the summer according to reports in Turkey.

According to Fotomac, Everton boss Sam Allardyce in not a fan of the Turkey international and wants the club to sign a new striker in the summer.

The news – if true – would be astonishing seeing that Everton signed Tosun for a lofty £26 million during the January transfer window.

Furthermore, Allardyce’s own future at the Merseyside based club is not set in stone following a disappointing run of results.

Tosun also put on an impressive display during Everton’s training camp in Dubai. Club coach Duncan Furguson heaped praise on the 26-year-old during an interview with the clubs official website.

Tosun stated on the bench during Everton’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Watford FC over the weekend. The Toffees are back in action this weekend when they take on Burnley FC.
